Greenville Country Club - Chanticleer Course

502 Garden Trail, Greenville, SC 29605

The Course

The Chanticleer Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., has been consistently ranked as the top course in Upstate South Carolina. Affectionately known as the longest 6,900 yards in America, the par 72 layout is privately situated as a golf-only facility. The course offers one of the most beautiful and challenging golf opportunities available anywhere. Rolling fairways, towering hardwoods and pines, pure white sand, gently flowing creeks, and some of the most challenging greens in the nation combine to make Chanticleer one of the most memorable experiences in the U.S. for even the best golfers. The course has an impressive slope of 150 and course rating of 74.9 from the tips with water and or out of bounds on all 18 holes.

The Cliffs at Mountain Park

201 Golf Bridge Rd., Marietta, SC 29661

The Course

There are waves of native grasses and dramatic mounding, endless seas of sand, a river running through it, two bloodhounds and a rustic, timbered clubhouse - are there adjectives for this kind of golf? The newest addition to The Cliffs' seven incredible offerings was named one of GOLF Magazine's Best New Modern Courses the moment the reviewers could tee up. This is perhaps the most unique, intriguing, rewarding, beautiful, natural and authentic golf experiences of Earth. It is a singular work that has to define Gary Player's passion for conservation, and a spectacular experience where one simply runs out of adjectives.
